The Lincoln girl's soccer team begins their postseason tomorrow night at Crane-Youngworth Field in Yankton against the Gazelles.
From Coach Abby Berke:
"This has been a roller coaster of a season for us with a lot of high highs and low lows, ending regular season with a 5-6-2 record. I'm looking at playoffs as the beginning of our 2026 redemption tour. We have a ton of talent on the team, so if we can all work together this team will be unstoppable.
Our captains this year are seniors Kacie Adler and Gemma Oppenheimer. Kacie is currently nursing an injury, but providing a lot of supporting encouragement from the sidelines. Gemma continues to lead our defense with smart play and relentless spirit.
Senior goalie Leighton Crawford has had six shout-out games. Sophomore Mya Erickson brings tons of energy into our backline, and she, Priscilla Skroch, Hazel Shafer, and Regan VanMeeteren have been pivotal to our midfield.
Sophomore Clara Spade and Freshman Taneal Whiting are our leading scorers and have the speed and technical ability to keep us competitive up top!
Redemption Tour starts Tuesday at Yankton at 7pm."
We are all pulling for you girls! Go Pats!
