Hey Cats!
Sorry we are late on this one, but we are proud to present our DECEMBER students of the month! We are super impressed with the outstanding leadership qualities that they have displayed at Edison this year!

Let's start the week with a huge CONGRATULATIONS to our newest 💫🤩 SFSD All Star 🤩💫 Reanna Fitzgerald! Becki Stassi works with Reanna and had this to say about her, " Reanna is such a positive person and is so helpful to myself and the other 3 new Special Education Teachers here at Edison. She knows and loves her students! She takes the time to get to know them and know what they like and need. She continues to support students that have moved on to other grades. I often see 7th and 8th graders go out of their way to stop and say hi to Ms. Fitzgerald and get a hug. She is so willing to dive in and help when needed. She is also the lead Special Education Teacher here at Edison which is a job in itself!!! I have absolutely no hesitation to ask Reanna for help or guidance! She is so appreciated! She is bound for amazing things! Cannot wait to see her grow within the Sioux Falls School District!" Thank you, Reanna, for everything you do for your students and the SFSD community everyday!

Yesterday was a weird day at Edison. On an average day, we only have 6 pairs of twins in our school, but yesterday we had about 500 it seemed like! Here are a few pictures of the students and staff that were "TWINNING" yesterday!

Today is a beautiful December day, but we know it can't last forever in South Dakota! Make sure you and your student(s) know how to access Canvas for remote learning when weather that keeps kids home can be predicted in advance.

Hey Cats!

Hello Cats!
Our "lost and found" at Edison is overflowing with clothes and items! If your student is missing something, make sure that they come and look for it before FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8TH as we will be donating all unclaimed items! Thank you!
Go Cats!

Hey Cats!
Our students had an awesome time at the Junior Achievement Convention this week! They got to explore different jobs in many different career fields across South Dakota! Several students even got some cool souvenirs to bring back to Edison with them! Check out the pictures here:

Hey Cats!
In case you didn't know, it's Kindness Week here at Edison Middle School! When students aren't too busy crushing it in the classroom, they have been writing encouraging messages to others outside! We'd love to thank our students for inspiring others to be KIND!
Go Cats!

Hey Cats!
We LOVE our students at Edison! We think that they are so awesome and we want to show them off to you as well! Here is our first Student Spotlight: Faith Koffi!

Hey Cats!

Hey Cats!
This is our second edition of Edison Staff Spotlight! Today we are highlighting someone who has built a connection with every student in the building and is always ready to lend a hand wherever she is needed. That special person is Ms. Theis! Here are a few things about Ms. Theis that you might not have known:

Hey Cats!
Here are a few pictures from Ms. Delgado's 6th Grade Social Studies class last Friday!
Ms. Delgado's classes are always doing something fun and relatable to the curriculum! Instead of reading something in Cuneiform (an ancient form of writing), the kids got out their own "clay tablets" and wrote their sentences! Great work Ms. Delgado and class! We love having your creative ideas flowing here at Edison!
